The Ban-Manush is a type of Bigfoot seen in the mountainous regions of Bangladesh, India, and Nepal of hairy humanoid. Its name means"forest man" in Indo-Aryan.

It is one of the many variations on the Yeti and similar to the Mande Barung. Its name means, “Ape-Man”, in Indo-Aryan, and is said to be very aggressive with humans. It’s comparable to the Yeti and the Mande Barung.

The Ban-Manush is 4-5 feet tall and covered in grayish hair. Its face, hands and feet are similar to that of a humans. It is aggressive and known for carrying away both men and woman. In curiosity about the identity of the “Abominable Snowman” drew Bengal into the search. Stories of hairy man-like creatures were known.

Footprints in the snow and in mud were found to indicate some such cryptids were active in out of the way places in Bangladesh, and the surrounding region, at Barmanou, Monkey-Man of Delhi and Yeti which were grouped in families that dwelled in holes in the ground. Porchnev further describes the human-like beings as having excellent swimming and running abilities, a foul odor, and a diet that consists of small mammals, vegetables in Ban-Manush.
