It involves a strange man who was seen walking down a highway. Only to disappear after being passed by stun motorist unlike the phantom hitchhiker. stories though this figure doesn't seem much interested in catching a ride his steady seems only to want to terrify people unlucky enough to cross his path.

On January 1st, 2010, a woman named Christina was driving home with her husband to Clovis from Madera, California were on Avenue 15. After the second stop sign about two miles before the 41 highway. I saw a man walking in the middle of the road on the yellow lines the divided the lanes he was walking toward me with his eyes down, he had on a gray dark sweater with the hood up and blue jeans, he was a tall Caucasian. I swerved to avoid hitting him because he came out of nowhere when i turned around to see where he was he was gone at this point Christina claims she hit a thick patch of fog and for some reason. She began to feel sick to her stomach she found the fog to be strange as it was a clear night. I wanted to believe it was just a person but many things made me believe different the man never looked up at me. And i was going 60 miles per hour and i almost hit him.
I was wondering what person does not look up at a car that almost hit them furthermore. He was there so suddenly and gone so suddenly if i had blinked.
I would have missed him even stranger Christina claims that even though her husband was looking out the window. Right where the man would have been walking somehow he saw nothing Christina had tried to explain it away but has since discovered that others have seen this man. He appeared to be young earlys 20s to late teens.
I know to other people who have seen him on Avenue 18 in Madera also this is not a joke. I am sick to my stomach just thinking about it and have since refused to drive home on that street anymore. What woman named Ashley claims she was driving down Avenue 18 with her sister at around 1:30 AM. She too saw the strange figure we saw a white man dressed in blue jeans gray hoodie with the hood on and white shoes, they couldn't see his face, he appeared out of nowhere probably about 5 feet before. I almost hit him he was standing on the white line facing the street i came inches from him and he did not flinch we looked back after and he was gone.
Another woman named Maddie also observed this hoodie waering individual we were driving down Avenue 18 in Madera. Right before we got to the new church they just built. We saw a man wearing jean gray zip-up sweatshirt with his hoodie on and standing on the white line facing in we thought we were going to hit him when we look back he was gone.
In the winter of 2013 a woman named Kelly also claims to have had near miss. With this individual she was surprised to discover that other people had encounter thi strange man. One night i was coming homw was lost winter 2013. Late at night around maybe 300 AM. It was a bit foggy but still clear enough to see. I saw the same man blue jeans gray hoodie white sneakers. I swerved as i drove by him he didn't look up or even move out of the way it was odd because i had never seen anyone walking especially around this area at that time so who was this weird individual seen walking in the middle of the road on Avenue 18. So late at night a ghost possibly a victim of a car accident on that stretch of road maybe it's a prankster.
I find this doubtful given that people are seeing him in the middle of winter at the wee hours of the morning when the temperature generally drops just doesn't seem likely that somebody would be willing to put themselves through such hardships in hopse of scaring some passing motorists further how does the possibility that it might be a prankster explain the strange appearing and disappearing act described by the witnesses it's interesting that in all the cases i've read witnesses are always female and Christina's case her husband who was sitting beside her looking at the sam road did not see the individual which to Christina was clearly there it's also interesting that the area where this strange man is cited is near a church. Strange phenomena is often cited in and around churches so it makes you wonder if the two thins are connected in the end until the strech of road can be you thorughly investigated. We will probably never know who this man is and he wants.
